Many nations want President Trump to walk back his decision to recognize Jersusalem as the capital of Israel.
They obviously don’t know Trump. “We’ll save a lot. We don’t care,” says Trump.
Now, 45 is threatening to take away funding from countries who don’t agree with his verdict.
From Daily Wire:
On Wednesday, President Trump, who absolutely refuses to be bullied by countries around the world that are vilifying him for recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, struck back.
The U.N. General Assembly is holding an emergency session on Thursday that was requested by Arab and Muslim countries to vote on a draft resolution calling for Trump to rescind his decision.
Trump let them have it with both barrels, asserting, “They take hundreds of millions of dollars and even billions of dollars, and then they vote against us. Well, we’re watching those votes. Let them vote against us. We’ll save a lot. We don’t care.”
As Reuters noted, the U.S. government’s aid agency USAID stated that in 2016 the United States provided roughly $13 billion in economic and military assistance to countries in sub-Saharan Africa and $1.6 billion to states in East Asia and Oceania.
Further, the U.S. gave $13 billion to countries in the Middle East and North Africa, $6.7 billion to countries in South and Central Asia, $1.5 billion to states in Europe and Eurasia, and $2.2 billion to Western Hemisphere countries.
UN Ambassador Nikki Haley warned the council that America would be ‘taking names.’
From BizPac Review:
Ignoring the fact that the United States has veto power, the United Nations prepared a resolution to “nullify” President Donald Trump’s recent decision to formally recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
In what proved to be little more than spitting in the wind, the 15 member UN Security Council voted on the resolution on Monday, prompting the U.S. to exercise that power.

U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley effectively told the UN where to shove the measure she called an “insult,” saying a sovereign country “will not be told” where it can locate its embassy.
What we have witnessed here is an insult,” Haley continued. “It won’t be forgotten. It is one more example of the UN doing more harm than good in addressing the Israeli Palestinian conflict.”
More from JPost:
“What we witnessed here in the Security Council is an insult,” Haley said. “It won’t be forgotten. It is one more example of the United Nations doing more harm than good in addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Today, for the simple act of deciding where to put its embassy, the United States was forced to defend its sovereignty. The record will reflect that we did so proudly. Today, for acknowledging the basic truth that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, we are accused of harming peace. The record will reflect that we reject that outrageous claim.”
Haley said that a peace process that is damaged by “the simple recognition” that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital is “not a peace process, it is a justification for an endless stalemate.”
She took sharp issue with those charging that the US move set the peace process back, asking: “What does it gain the Palestinian people for some of their leaders to accuse the US of being hostile to the cause of peace?” Haley said that the US had done more than any other country to assist the Palestinian people, and has provided them with more than $5 billion in assistance since 1994.
The US, she pointed out, funds 30% of the UNRWA budget, which is “vastly more than some of the members of this council who have considerable financial resources of their own.”
Haley said that what is troublesome for some people is that the US had the “courage and honesty to recognize a fundamental reality: Jerusalem has been the political, cultural and spiritual homeland of the Jewish people for thousands of years; they have had no other capital city.”
Thank you, Ambassador Haley. On Hanukkah, you spoke like a Maccabi. You lit a candle of truth. You dispel the darkness. One defeated the many. Truth defeated lies. Thank you, President Trump. Thank you, Nikki Haley. pic.twitter.com/zFIiStoait

Trump noted: “I like the message that Nikki sent yesterday at the United Nations, for all those nations that take our money and then they vote against us at the Security Council, or they vote against us potentially at the assembly.”
